How to use Reality TV as a career stepping-stone!
Categories: Acting Tips, Casting Directors, Theme of the Week
Being a Reality TV Star can really get your name out there in the entertainment world. Just take a look at Bill Ranic and Elizabeth Hasselbeck. They enhanced their careers just by appearing on The Apprentice and Survivor. Just because of their amazing job on the shows, they are both thriving in their very different lines.
Elizabeth is a very opinionated voice on “The View” and a famous supporter of Republican Party. Bill won the first season of The Apprentice back in 2004, and he outlived his year contact winnings at the Trump Organization. He still works there to this day, and he is also an entrepreneur and a real estate developer.
Always be aware of what parts of your personality are being portrayed. It’s up to you what part of you is shown on the small screen, so choose wisely!

Since I love reality TV a lot, I thought it would be a good choice for getting my foot in the door for an acting career. I see that reality TV has made a big difference in a lot of peoples lives. People who probably never thought once about acting. Also, you have to make sure your character and personality stand out on the show so you can get your own reality TV show. LOL!
I think that mny people sre grtting tired of Elizabeth. There’s opinion and ther’es obstinance. Listening to others and changing your view after being educated is not such a bad quality. I read Bill’s book and he is open to learning and listening.
The best comment here is, choose wisely.
I love reality TV but, I must say some of the people do not play the role good. Now it’s like everytime I turn my TV to a reality show I can off the back know how the whole show will turn out, it is like I put myself in the show then act out the part the way I see it should be, then I pay close atten. to the theme of how the main actor is doing his or her thing. I can say one thing if you do not put your all and then some into the show then there is no way that person is going to even get a toe in the door. I love the show biz industery and would love it even more when I can show the TV viewer’s how it is really done, I am very out spoken and know that what ever script is put in my face I will do my thing and that is play the role at the drop of a dime how ever they need me and want me to bring it to the viewer’s.
