STUNT CASTING – Hiring well known actors to play bit parts on TV shows, in films, and even in Broadway productions. Stunt casting is often used to generate media attention and also lets actors more known for their celebrity than their talent to show off! But as a result, it can also limit opportunities for character actors. Trivia: The Simpsons is credited with starting the trend of bringing celebrities to TV for bit parts!

I hope that we hear about one of us one day as stuntcasters.
I don’t see why hiring well-known actors for stunt casting would pose a problem for character actors. I thought character actors were always needed.
