Word of the Day: Wide Release

InstantCast Word of the DayWIDE RELEASEA term to describe a film playing nationally (as opposed to a few cinemas in cities like New York and LA) and on 600 screens or more. Did you know that different terms are used for blockbuster films? For example, a very wide release would be 2000 or more theaters, a saturation release is 2500 or more, and a super saturation release is over 3000!
