SLAPSTICK – a type of comedy involving exaggerated extreme physical violence or activities which exceed the boundaries of common sense. A character may be hit in the face with a heavy frying pan or running into a brick wall, as often seen in children’s cartoons (think Tom and Jerry or the Road Runner). Charlie Chaplin is possibly most famous for his real-life slapstick performances, which required exquisite timing and skillful execution.

When I think of slapstick comedy, Home Alone comes to mind. Those poor men took quite a beating but it was hilarious.
I love abbot and costellomovies from the past.
When I think about this type of films, what come to mind is meadea family reunion and Ed, Edd and Eddy, Songebob SquarePants, Flapjack.
“Slapstick” is the perfect word to describe Tom and Jerry and Road Runner. . . . . . . . . . .two of my most favorite cartoons that I grew up on.
The old Laurel and Hardy show comes to mind.
