In the wake of Rihanna and Chris Brown’s domestic abuse case, the issue has become a hot topic among celebrities and others.
Domestic abuse results in the death of 2 women every week – a little-known statistic – and it shouldn’t be of interest only when a celebrity’s life is involved.
Academy Award-nominated actress Keira Knightley has teamed up with the UK-based charity WomensAid to draw more attention to this very serious issue. She’s released this violent PSA, directed by Atonement’s Joe Wright.
Be warned, this video is serious and disturbing – but then, that’s the point:
Keira released a statement along with the video, saying:
“While domestic violence exists in every section of society we rarely hear about it. Domestic violence affects one in four women at some point in their lifetime and kills two women every week.”

While the PSA is shocking, I think it will help women who are in this situation.
Wow what a video, I hope it gets the message across to women who are in domestic violence situations.
The abusers should see the video and see how they look in action. Then they might have guilt.
This is a message for women or even men in domestic violent situation, seek help immediately for your sake and for the sake of those around them.
