It’s pilot season and we have  the news on the four broadcast networks–NBC, CBS, the CW &, and ABC–who are developing new scripted dramas and comedies in hopes of becoming the next primetime hit.

NBC has an all-star line up this season like Debra Messing who stars in the musical drama Smash: this show may just be the adult version of Glee. Another NBC pilot in production is Are You There, Vodka? It’s Me Chelsea, inspired by Chelsea Handler’s best-selling memoir. It will focus on the lives of a group of 20-somethings who live and work with a very outspoken young woman. ABC will be the new home to Home Improvement star Tim Allen in a family comedy pilot. ABC steps out of family friendly realm, however, with pilot titled Don’t Trust the Bitch in Apt. 23,. The show is about a naive young woman who comes to New York City and ends up with a trouble-making party-girl. The show stars Dawson’s Creek’s James Van Der Beek. FOX will air the anticipated return of 24 star Kiefer Sutherland in a new drama Touch. This series, from the creator of  Heroes, Tim Kring, will be based on a dad whose autistic son can predict events before they happen.
