It’s that time of year again where pop culture fanatics from all over the country tune into the MTV VMAs. I am very fortunate to have worked the 2006 VMA’s & attended the show in 2008. It was definitely one of my favorite productions to be a part of. However, my job had nothing to do with my background as a Casting Director or my involvement at MTV. I volunteered at the 2006 VMAs as a talent escort for Shakira.

In many ways, this experience was a lot more exciting than being an attendee of the show. My job was to escort Shakira’s band through Radio City Music Hall for rehearsal and the live event. In this role, I saw some of my favorite artists rehearse for their performances including Christina Aguilera, The Killers, and of course Justin Timberlake! Read the rest of this entry »
