We all know that 16-year-old Miley Cyrus is poised to take over the entertainment world. But even Disney execs didn’t expect her flick Hannah Montana: The Movie to rock its opening weekend so hard! Projected to hit the upper $20 millions, Miley and company blew away the box office with a whopping $34 million.

Dakota Fanning has been acting since the tender age of 5 after appearing on a Tide commercial. As a child actress, she appeared in films as Man on Fire, War of the Worlds, and Charlotte’s Web.  She also had several guest roles on established television series, including CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, The Practice, Spin City. Ally McBeal and The Ellen Show. But her breakthrough performance was in the film I Am Sam, alongside Sean Penn, in 2001.  Her role in the film made Dakota the youngest person ever to be nominated for a Screen Actors Guild Award, at eight years of age!
